Trent’s Evo Powered Mirage
What started life as a standard 1.5L Mirage, Trent built into this 4G63 Evo powered AWD beast in his backyard over just 5 weeks, slowly refining it into what you see here. Sharing the same basic platform as any Evo 4-6, the only Mirage parts still on this car are the doors and tailgate, with the rest being saved from a damaged Evo 6 wreck bought at the auctions.
As you can see, Trent is keen to support quality local products and companies, so when his request for a new performance clutch came through to us here at Xtreme Clutch, we were more than happy to jump onboard this build.
Here is a quick overview of the car at this stage
Evo 6 2.0L bottom end
GT Pumps 712 turbo
ECK Coil over Plug kit
FIC 1050 injectors
Plazmaman billet fuel rail
Plazmaman 70 series race intercooler
Plazmaman stealth black intercooler pipes
Grimmspeed 3 port boost controller
Turbosmart 22psi actuator
Koyo Race alloy radiator
SPAL thermo fan on custom fan shroud by Keeley Motorsport
With these quality bolt on mods, this stock bottom end punches out 275awkw on 23psi boost using United E85 fuel.
To transfer this to the Evo 6 RS Gearbox and RS diff, we have supplied one of our Evo 8 single plate performance clutches (KMI24004-1R) which not only does the job of running 11.2 @ 120mph, but lets him also drive comfortably through traffic on the way home.
So far Trent’s achievements include coming 1st in the drivers’ championship of the 2015 Nulon Nationals which have individuals competing in a series of events like MotorKhana, Hillclimb, Circuit, and Drag racing.
Trent also ran 2nd in the 2015 Evo Nationals Unlimited class against some seriously fast Evo’s raced at Wakefield Park raceway.

We have run an Xtreme multi plate clutch in our R34 GTR time attack car since day one and they have never let us down!
Competition drifting pushes cars to their absolute limits mechanically so reliability is key. I’ve been using an Xtreme 230mm twin plate clutch for two seasons now and it’s proven to be stronger than many other brands used previously. We inspected it after the first season and it looked brand new!
