Official Supplier to V8 Utes

After a successful three year tenure, Xtreme Clutch continues with V8 Utes Australia as Official Clutch Supplier.

After the success of the product over two complete seasons of fender-to-fender V8 Ute racing, V8 Utes Australia approached Xtreme Clutch to develop the same system for use in the new Ford Falcon FG racing ute. As Ford Australia do not offer a V8 powered FG ute (instead leaving the V8 power to the supercharged FPV models), V8 Utes developed their own V8 driveline for Ford's fast hay-hauler. This required a radical change in development strategy for the category driveline suppliers, but it was taken in their stride by Xtreme Clutch.

A testament to the design of the Xtreme Race Clutch package has seen the original system design keep pace with wholesale category changes such as the introduction of Motec engine management, Rip Shifter shift mechanisms, a new control gearbox, and now a completely new engine with the advent of the Ford FG.

While the Xtreme Race control clutch keeps pace with the series for the remainder of 2012, more is in store for the category with the proposed launch of an all new ultra-lightweight twin plate Xtreme Race Clutch and flywheel package for the 2013 season, closer aligning the category with tier one race categories like V8 Supercars.
