Street Stages
HD: Heavy Duty Organic. This is the most driveable Xtreme clutch. Using premium organic type clutch facings and focusing on upgrading the pressure plate clamp-load gives significant torque capacity increases with virtually no loss in driveability.
DCBHD: Dampened Cushioned Button Heavy Duty. Using a similar upgraded pressure plate to the HD system, the Cushioned Button clutch plate features a sprung centre and multiple sintered friction pads attached to a full face lining. There is a cushioned Marcel segment between the two sides of the disc, and this gives more progressive clutch engagement, and minimises the shudder that is characteristic of sintered linings.
DSBHD: Dampened Solid Button Heavy Duty. Although this system is generally quite light in pedal feel, and still features a sprung centred clutch plate like the HD and DCBHD systems, it can be quite aggressive for street driving. A solid “paddle style” clutch outer with ceramic or Carbotic linings gives you virtually instant clutch engagement, and will cope with mild levels of motorsport use.
DSBMS: Dampened Solid Button MotorSport. This is the ultimate single plate clutch. Xtreme modifies the pressure plate in this system for massive clamp-load, and fits a chromoly casting. These castings drastically improve heat dispersion and wear characteristics, while improving the driveability and torque capacity substantially over the DSBHD system (with which it shares the clutch plate design). Designed to hold massive horsepower on the street, while being equally at home on the track- where the value of the explosion proof 14,000rpm SFI safety rating is immeasurable.
