We’re ready for the biggest World Time Attack Challenge ever!

Considered as the largest world time attack event in the Southern Hemisphere, the World Time Attack Challenge will be held this year again at the Sydney Motorsport Park on October 17th-19th.
The World Time Attack Challenge (WTAC) was created in 2009 with the ambition of offering Australian time attack fans the opportunity to see the best of international time attacks teams competing against each other.

Teams from both here in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and other parts of the world will converge on Sydney Motorsport Park for the 2-day event. Teams and drivers have continually rised to the challenge each and every year building faster cars with rather impressive aero-packages, incredible brake designs and many new innovations in speed and reliability.

The WTAC year will also include many other events including the Turbosmart Flying 500 to be held on the main straight, the Miss Time Attack Contest and the FD Asia Series which will make its long-awaited debut at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The FD Asia event will include practice and qualifying sessions on both the Friday and the Saturday night with the final on the Sunday. The final will be live streamed to millions across the world.

Local Xtreme driver Jake “Driftsquid” Jones will be back to compete in the FD Series for the second time having made his debut at Calder Park last year. Jake will return with the Nissan Sonvia to not only compete but also put on a show for the crowd over the 3 days.

Beau Yates will also return with the Xtreme-Sponsored Toyota 86. Beau recently competed in the ADGP Series where he won the final round with the car now showing good speed and reliability.

New Zealand driver Gaz Whiter will also make the trek across to Sydney Motorsport Park. Gaz recently won the D1NZ Series and  finished a close second last year to Daigo Saito in the battle for 1st at the Tectaloy Drift Challenge.

Xtreme clutch will for its 6th year in succession provide support to the WTAC and the FD Series as well as having a trade display alongside Hi Octane Racing, a proud supplier and distributor of the Xtreme Product.

Testimonials

Matt Carter

Competition drifting pushes cars to their absolute limits mechanically so reliability is key. I’ve been using an Xtreme 230mm twin plate clutch for two seasons now and it’s proven to be stronger than many other brands used previously. We inspected it after the first season and it looked brand new!
